The Miami Heat fans get a lot of flack for supposedly not knowing about their team and being fair weather fans. Even with the big three, the stadium is usually pretty empty at tip off. Usually by mid to late first quarter do the rest of the fans start settling in. It's really not cool to be fashionable late to a NBA basketball game. Some Miami Heat fans treat the game like it's the latest hip nightclub on South Beach. It's just the place to be, but they really don't know what their watching on the floor.
Fanified.com was built to bring the most knowledgeable fans together in a open discussion about what they love most. It also was built to see who actually has the best fans. Currently the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls are on the website. Out of those three the Miami Heat have the lowest certification test scores and lowest percent of people passing. The Los Angeles Lakers have the top fans on the site with a remarkable 89% passing and a score of 79%. That leaves the Chicago Bulls in second 72% of people passing with a average 75% on the test. It should be interesting to see if these trends continue and to see what the other teams produce.
It's still to early to tell but I find it very interesting that Miami fans are way behind LA and Chicago. So far the stereotypes are correct, the Miami Heat fans are the least knowledgeable fans in the NBA.

It's Time to Become a Certified Fan
Changing your oil doesn't make you a certified mechanic, using Microsoft Word doesn't make you a Microsoft certified professional and liking a team/musical group/tv show doesn't make you a certified fan. All fans can't be equal, there are some who live it everyday. They read every article, buy every product and watch every event. And then you have the others, they just pay attention to the big stories and don't get very involved.
Fanified.com was created to separate these types of fans. We believe you should know certain things before you can be called a certified fan. All other sites on the web are hungry for traffic, they will let anyone post comments about any subject just so they get more money. At Fanified our mission is to find those real fans who have a deep understanding of the topic. Why should you waste your time reading a comment or blog post from someone who only knows a little about what their writing about? We don't think you should, Fanified is where real fans come to discuss what they love most with other real fans.
How do we figure out who has a deep understanding of the team, musical group or tv show? Just like getting certified with anything else you need to take a certification test. Get a 75% or higher and you pass. If you can't pass we let you go study and come back the next day to take a completely new test. The questions are straight forward things that you should know. We aren't going to ask you details that nobody will remember, this is stuff that every fan should know. Other than passing a test you should love to discuss your favorite topics. Post the best content and increase your fan rank and become the top fan!
